Me-Made

My creativity ...

I made it out of my mother’s suit of velvet, my NANU gifted her in 1956।

I made mine ……..refishoned it….when I was in 9th standard in the year 1968.

Peek into it ….lots of space to tote…books, crochethooks, yarn, personal belongings, as per your tour.
The linning is made up with my sarri suit.. my mother’s old saree transformed into my suit..then interlinning of this purse with stud closures.

I made this purse out of green velvet reused… recycled…redisigned … reduced …three times….
Beautiful purse to tote utilities….

Still in good condition!

Today's Quote

http://quotationsbook.com/assets/images/lay/quote-open.jpg "Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow." http://quotationsbook.com/assets/images/lay/quote-close.jpg

crochet flowers

This heat wave seems like it will never end!  It's been so hot lately that I haven't felt like doing much crafting.  Mostly I have been hanging out, reading my magazine articles (my favorite possession!) and churning out mosamies on my squeezing machine (another favorite possession)  :).

But I did manage to blow the dust off the crochet hook long enough to make up some flower ring decorations/ornaments.  Last winter when I did the "flowers for little lamps “ while supervising girls at recycling class. I received some requests to make flowers for appliqué for kids  dresses etc.

Flowers are measured around a 3"in diameter .  They also can be strung together to make a bunting, or connected vertically to make a wall hanging.

Hope everyone is staying cool!
